In SD, we need it! I’m also big on boards that go any place on the wave you want to put them. Matching performance and drive is the high bar I put on any design. This design keeps more width by the front fins, so it’s able to redirect more wave energy, and the wing and swallow quickly reduces width and surface area so turns feel very controlled, crisp, and solid. The slot channel gives this board the perfect blend of release and bite! The added bonus to this board is how well it paddles. Since we generally don’t have very steep waves here, I keep a low entry rocker in the paddle power zone but more than enough flip in the nose to never get in the way on re-entrys. Anyone who tries this board will agree, it’s a magic board! Even rides insane as a Twin+trailer which is not usual for a board with the fin placement set up for thruster.
