The one common thing almost all were lacking wasn’t speed, it was turning radius. Fast and staying on line was one of the main characteristics. Then came Skip Fryes “Nozzle” in 2017. The design took th fish Simmons outline and widened it all around. That and an added high-hip helped cure all that was not there for the long fish designs of old. Now we had a board that caught waves with ease, was stable, loose and fast. This design is the missing link. Roy liked the design but wanted to change a few things to make it a little more user friendly. First he added a more modern rail contour that is a bit more forgiving and geared toward performance. He then blended the deep single concave and we added the twinzer option for another added layer to this board. The result came out fantastic. The Slip Steam is made as a daily driver from 2’-10’ conditions.
