The one common thing, almost all were lacking wasn’t speed, it was turning radius. Then came the Frye “Nozzle” design, which widened the outline all around; including the tail but the added high hip helped cure what was missing on the long fish designs of old. Now we had a board that caught waves with ease and was stable, loose and fast. This design is the missing link. Roy liked the design but wanted to change a few things to make it a little more user friendly. First he added a more modern rail contour that is a bit more forgiving and geared toward performance. He then blended the deep single concave and pulled in the nose and tail a touch. The result came out fantastic. The Slip Steam is made as a daily driver from 2’-10’ conditions. Its a board that can do anything and everything most surfers want at beaches, reefs and points. Highly recommended. Price: $1125.00
